Preventing item sales to a particular US state if product not registed in that state
Can I prevent item sales to a particular US state if a product is not registered within the state of WA? If so, how would I go about doing this? I've contacted Seller Support twice but wasn't given much information. However, the WA State of Agriculture is telling me they have stores restrict item sales from the state of WA often for Amazon. I'm not sure which is accurate and could really use some guidance on how to move forward. Does anyone know of anyway I could go about restricting the items from being sold in WA for being subject to geographic sales restriction?

For at least a decade, Amazon swore up and down that they did not have the ability to allow sellers to block sales of specific skus from specific regions, and/or states.
This past year, just-like-that, Amazon is blocking sales to specific states- sending out notifications for hundreds or thousands of skus:
Notification: Listing(s) Subject to Geographic Sales Restriction
Dear Seller,
We are writing to inform you that the following products are restricted from sale in certain locations, although they are permissible for listing on Amazon. Please see policy specific information below. You don’t need to take any action unless otherwise stated. In addition to all applicable federal laws and Amazon policies, you must also comply with state and local laws applicable to the locations into which your products are sold.
They then list the specific skus they are preventing from being sold (mostly, if not entirely to California)
So ya... they can set that up for you.

I haven't to deal with this myself, but my guess would be that you need to download the flat file template for your product category and fill out the Compliance Regulation Type and Regulatory Identification fields. Once Amazon has that data, maybe they will apply the corresponding geographic sales restriction.
