Digital Services Tax Canada - Reminder to raise your prices October 1st

The original thread is locked: https://sellercentral.amazon.com/seller-forums/discussions/t/8582f8a3-5c17-43d4-a356-2c7bbb83308c

You can now see a preview of what these fees will be in the revenue calculator. Canadian sellers are hit with 3%. US based sellers into Canada its 2%. Why? Who knows but its not cool of Amazon to disadvantage Canadian sellers like this. Faint hope remains a political solution will shelve this tax.

To protect your margins, you should be raising all prices by about .45% as of Oct 1st

For some reason nobody seems to be taking this seriously. Well, watch your fees. Its gonna hurt......

Reminder to raise your prices

Judging by lack of attention, it seems Amazon sellers do not care about paying this new tax. Curious why that is?

The fee is now live. Check your Transaction Details on confirmed orders as that is the only place you will see it.

Emails regarding sold orders simply says 'fee' which includes this new fee and tax.

Remember, this is not a tax. Its a 'fee' which Amazon is passing on so you cannot claim it back from the government.
