Unauthorized Sellers Using Our ASIN to Sell Counterfeits – Need Brand Owner Controls

We are MINSEOK Atelier Gallery, a small creative brand based in South Korea. We design and sell original watercolor car posters and currently sell only through Amazon US (Amazon.com) under a registered brand in the Amazon Brand Registry.

However, we have recently discovered a serious case of infringement occurring on Amazon Canada (Amazon.ca). Chinese sellers are attaching themselves to our ASIN without authorization, using our copyrighted images, and selling counterfeit products manufactured in China at extremely low prices.

We were alerted by a Canadian customer and placed test orders. The products we received were clearly fake and completely different from our genuine items. Even more concerning, two different sellers used the same tracking number (UK168601451YP), suggesting coordinated or fraudulent fulfillment behavior. These sellers are also winning the Buy Box by undercutting our price with counterfeit items.

We do not sell outside of Amazon US, and our pricing reflects the quality and value of our original artwork. However, these unauthorized sellers are destroying the integrity of our brand and deceiving customers with cheap knockoffs.

To make matters worse, Amazon Canada requires a separate trademark registration in Canada in order to report counterfeit issues through official brand protection channels. Even though our brand is registered in the US, this protection does not extend to Canada, creating a loophole that is being exploited by these bad actors.

We respectfully request that Amazon take the following actions:

Grant brand owners or ASIN creators control over which sellers can attach to their listings

Expand brand protection to apply across all Amazon marketplaces where the brand is actively listed

Monitor suspicious behaviors such as unauthorized image use, repeated tracking numbers, and abnormally low prices

Strengthen Buy Box protection to prioritize genuine brand owners

It is extremely disheartening that small creative brands like ours are being harmed by counterfeiters who exploit platform weaknesses. We ask Amazon to take a stronger and more proactive role in protecting legitimate sellers and maintaining customer trust.

Thank you,
