Thank you for your question about FBA customer replacement requests. Here's how the process works:
When a customer requests a replacement for an FBA item:
- The customer initiates the replacement request through their account
- Amazon automatically processes the request if it meets our criteria
- A new item is shipped from the nearest fulfillment center to the customer
- The customer has 30 days to return the original item using the provided return label
- If the original item isn't returned within 30 days, the customer will be charged for the replacement
As a seller, you should know:
- The replacement cost is covered by Amazon if the item is damaged/defective upon arrival
- You can track these requests in your Returns Report in Seller Central
- Inventory is automatically adjusted in your FBA stock
- The customer receives the replacement before returning the original item
