Amazon Fair Marketing Pricing Policy, for me but not for thee

I feel like I'm having to message amazon support a few times a week to get this "fixed" for each and every product I try to sell. Since when is Amazon the arbiter of what prices are "fair" anyways? Just let supply and demand do its thing, it's a website, if my product is overpriced then it won't sell. So what's the big deal? I understand having it at a certain price may make me ineligible for the featured offer, but dang I just want to be able to list my product without it getting flagged for a "potential high pricing error" and deactivated. Hard to sell product this/that way.

Examples: ASIN B01LYWK7E7 and ASIN B0007PLKZM I'm having trouble selling these today. Reference price for the Minecraft game is $19.99 even though it was being sold just earlier this month for $109.99. The game is so "rare" or at least sought after that it's sold out. When it comes to Scarface the reference price is $14.99 even though there's already two other listings for more than $40.

Why am I being forced to adhere to a policy that other folks apparently don't have to follow? I would love an actual answer to this rather than the usual run around.

Hello @Seller_46I11Ui4B5BRj,

Thanks for providing your feedback. I see case 16594678151 is currently open and Support is working on reviewing the ASIN for you. Please allow the team time to review this and get back to you with an update. If you see that the case resolves later and still need help, let me know here and I'll look into seeing what options exist for escalation.

Regards,

- Manny
