Credit Card Not Accepted on Amazon Seller Account

Hi, I have a seller account on Amazon, and I'm running into an issue where the credit card I'm adding isn’t being accepted. It’s odd because it’s the same card I use for regular purchases on Amazon. I called Chase, and they confirmed there’s no issue with the card; they just suggested contacting Amazon Seller Support. However, there’s no direct phone number or email for support unless I update my account, which I can’t do since my card keeps getting denied. Has anyone else had a similar issue? I’m using a Chase VISA card. Thank you!

Are you absolutely sure it is a credit card and not a debit card? Debit cards will work for purchasing on Amazon but they will not work for opening or verifying your account. It must be an actual credit card. If your card says "debit" anywhere on it it will not work for verification.

Also, if it IS an actual Credit Card ... try to add it first to your Buyer Account side of things and then choose it from the list in Seller Central.

You will need to add an actual credit card, as some debit cards do not work with our systems.

Accepted credit cards are listed in this page:

https://sellercentral.amazon.com/help/hub/reference/G19791

Make sure that the card numbers are all entered properly, along with the expiration date, your name, address and security code.
