Customer received order, but claimed it was empty.
I need to advice on how to handle this customers concerns regarding their order. Customer states that the box was empty when they received it and sends me pictures of the empty box. They paid for 2-day shipping and I bought shipping from amazon and it was scanned and delivered on time. I have receipt of drop off with weight on it and proof of delivery which also shows the weight of the box when in UPS possession. Do I tell the customer to file an INR A-Z claim?

Hello @Seller_ViRcsQPm12eFa
Thank you for visiting the seller forums. I am sorry to hear that an order was sent and then the buyer claimed they received an empty box. It is possible that the product was removed from the box during transit. Of course, it is also possible that it did not disappear in transit. Unfortunately, product loss is a part of eCommerce business, just as it is with brick and mortar stores. Thank you for selling on Amazon.

This appears to be the latest Scam we have a customer claiming the same thing although the post office and Amazon should both be able to see the weight of the package in shipment. We shipped with Amazon Buy Shipping but who knows if they will cover it when the claim is eventually opened.

There's no way to prove either way if the box was indeed empty when they got it. Our experience is the odds are higher the box was not empty, because a thief will not bother to take an item, and reseal the package. (They're kind of in a hurry.). USE SECURITY BOX SEALING TAPE. Also, if someone takes a photo of an empty box, it's a bit of an insult. If someone does this to Amazon more than a few times, they won't get anything shipped there again since their mail is insecure. UPS will make the customer come into a center with a driver's license and sign for boxes if they're claimed empty or missing after a few episodes. Seamod was correct, however, it's just part of commerce. You'd have stuff walking out of a brick and mortar store at a higher degree than what you experience online from *empty* boxes. *Empty* boxes is a very old scam, but it's also a fact people steal from UPS, and the USPS. PROBABLY THE SAFEST WAY TO GET SOMETHING DELIVERED IS BY AMAZON itself. They weigh everything constantly, and they know for a fact the packages are not empty when put on someone's doorstep, and photograph it in place.
