Buy shipping not working

I am unable to use the (buy shipping) function on amazon. With the quoted price that amazon has for shipping I was looking forward to taking advantage of the quote rates they are charging the customers, when I went to use the Buy shipping function it tells me that there is no courier's available and wont let me select anything. I was going to ship the orders myself but cant get a shipping rate even close to what amazon is charging the customer and I cant take loses on the orders. I have attempted to reach out to our account rep to have someone contact us but have had no success with this. is there any advise or am i missing something. As we are new to amazon maybe its a simple fix.

Two issues here:

First of all, the shipping charged to the customer by default settings has no connection to what rates you may be paying; with books, customers are charged a flat $3.99, but even the cheapest postage for the lightest book is more than that (and also Amazon takes out 15% of that fee). Heavier books can easily be $5-6. In other categories, the specifics will vary, but you need to figure out the actual price you will be paying, and either change your shipping charges (possible only for Pro plan sellers), or build that extra cost into your pricing.

Second is the issue of not being able to use Amazon shipping. Have you ever used Amazon shipping? Are you seeing the same results on all orders, or just some of them? Do you have any sort of Shipping Automation turned on? If so, turn it OFF.

How far out are the "Deliver by" dates that you are seeing? It's possible that the automation is promising delivery times that cannot actually be met, so there are no couriers available (although in this case, you would usually see at least the super-expensive overnight services).

I'll also point out that, while you don't want to lose money on the orders, if you cancel them, it can have a serious effect on your account, especially as a new seller with little or no history. If buying shipping off-Amazon is your only option, or even if Amazon shipping works (and it will be similar prices), and you are losing money, unless it's a crippling loss, I would recommend taking the financial hit, adjust your prices, and keep your account active.

Hello @Seller_hKkVPhNx8vyem

Thanks for checking in about Buy Shipping difficulties.

@Seller_nRFmxiQg4EGrw gave you good information about buying shipping on Amazon.

1. The default rates quoted for customers are not the same as the rates available for sellers to ship their items. They may be more or less, and you can set your own rates for most items.

Check the below help page for more details on this subject:

Set your shipping rates

2. Can you give more details about the "no couriers available" message? Are these domestic shipments, hazardous items, etc.?
