Any advice on how to do MFN orders instead of FBA

Hello,

I am wondering if it would be better if I fulfilled orders myself instead of having Amazon fulfill them. Will it cost more? How do I fulfill by myself? What are the steps? Looking forward to any advice!

All of those questions are ones you need to do research on and decide for your own business model.

Some items are a better fit for FBM, some not. To fulfill yourself, you need to have merchandise and ship it when it's ordered. You need to research storage costs, shipping costs, etc. and weigh them against the FBA fees.

Also, you need to decide if you want to deal with the customer service yourself, or let Amazon. And deal with returns, etc. All sellers have different opinions on which is better.

You have more control doing FBM but also more work as shipping returns all need to be done by you as well deal with any customer issues. The good thing is you can see directly which customer returned what and if they are trying to rip you off in any way can dispute things with amazon.

With fba, less work, more fees amazon handles all, however for returns its hard to pinpoint exactly who returned what so if someone frauds you which it happens you wont get any help from amazon on trying to figure out exactly who did what. there are too many orders returns etc etc

they should have a better system for returns fba to keep buyers accountable for not returning things complete or just blatantly returning something that is broken, they swap items. In any case both are good options

FBM is best if you want to sell asap, fba is great if you want to wait 2 3 weeks sometimes 4 until stuff gets checked into amazon depending on how buys they are and every location is very different.
