Account deactivated due a charge method

Hello Amazon Forums.

Amazon sent me an email informing me that my account has been deactivated due to a long period of inactivity.

I have followed the steps in the email replacing the credit card in Charge Methods and I have waited for more than 48 hours but my account has not been reactivated.

I ask you to tell me if the steps taken to change the card are not what AMAZON requires to reactivate my account and what exactly I should do for my account to be reactivated.

Thank you

"I have waited for more than 48 hours but my account has not been reactivated."

About that 48 hour part---------------

EVERYTHING is backed up due to all the suspensions for people that simply can't be bothered to read any rules as well as other changes that they have made regarding ‘generic’ product rules.

Amazon time is not anything close to what the rest of the world recognizes as a time frame. That (insert a number) of hours used so often by Amazon can be anywhere from three days to three weeks or even longer.

NOW, about a possible solution --

Put the card into your BUYER side account first, wait an hour or so, and THEN put it in the seller side.

For some weird reason this seems to work quite often.

Good luck.

I see that after a period of inactivity you are attempting to reactivate your account and you have questions about what your next steps will be from here.

Typically, after you have updated your credit card you may be asked to re-verify your account overall. Have you received a separate email asking you to do this? If so, have you followed the steps to re-verify your account?

I suggest to review the following help page about the verification requirements:

--Seller Identity Verification

So that I can assist you the best with this, I am engaging a Community Manager to review this further for you as well.

If you have any further questions, please don't hesitate to reach back out. The Forums community and I are here to support you.

Wishing you the best,

LeviDylan
