What happens if your account gets hacked?

Yesterday I thought my account had been compromised. Fortunately, it turned out to be a system bug with sending OTP codes. It did make me wonder what happens when your account is hacked?

If the hacker changes your email/phone number/password how are you supposed to get in touch with Seller Central? All account recovery methods appear to need email or phone number, not to mention the only way to contact seller support is through seller central. If someone changed your log in information you cant do that.

So what are we suppose to do if our account is hacked and the information changed?

If you cannot contact us through Seller Central, please contact us using this form. This should work in the event you cannot log into your Seller Central account.

If you got your account deactivated, the form is useless because it just allows you to choose "Account Termination Request" or "Password Reset"

As the hackers change everything, the password reset will go for their email not yours.

As Seller Central and Amazon site share the same login information, you can reach out to Amazon Customer Support as a customer. Amazon is focused on customers, as you might know. This is your best chance to get your account back.
