Product detail page was search suppressed
I updated my product from my old one as per customer reviews/complaints. But with changing the product slightly and adding the new image I get this "Product detail page was search suppressed - The main image is missing or incorrect. Please submit a compliant image to lift the suppression."
So, my question is - how do I get Amazon to wipe the ASIN & UPC completely out of the system so that I can start fresh with my new product update compliance? As I am assuming that I will have to re-do it now.
I want it to be that when I re-add my product under "Add a product" it does not come up as an old product & I basically have to start the compliance process. So, basically the ASIN has to not exist anymore?
I actually have this problem with many GTIN's. Please help with how to wipe them & the ASIN completely out then when adding it again it starts fresh with compliance as a new product.

Hi @Seller_D1xcyYL9sCMwL,
I understand your frustration with the search suppression issue and the challenges you're facing in updating your product listing. It can be difficult to navigate these situations, but I'll do my best to provide a helpful response.
First and foremost, it's important to ensure that your main product image meets Amazon's image requirements. As Dennis_mullin mentioned, you can refer to this help page for guidance on image specifications:
If your image meets the requirements and you're still experiencing issues, you may need to create a new product listing with a new ASIN (Amazon Standard Identification Number) and UPC (Universal Product Code). Unfortunately, there is no way to completely wipe an existing ASIN and UPC from Amazon's system. However, you can create a new listing and discontinue the old one.
Here are the steps you can follow:
- Create a new product listing by going to the "Add a Product" section in your Seller Central account. Make sure to provide accurate and compliant information, including a new UPC code if applicable.
- Once the new listing is created and approved, you can discontinue the old listing by following these steps: a. Go to the "Inventory" section in your Seller Central account. b. Find the old product listing and click on the "Edit" button. c. Scroll down to the "Offer Status" section and select "Discontinued." d. Save your changes.
- After discontinuing the old listing, it will no longer be available for purchase, and customers will only see your new listing when searching for your product.
It's worth noting that discontinuing a listing does not immediately remove it from Amazon's system. It may take some time for the old listing to be completely removed from search results and other areas of the Amazon website.
If you're still experiencing issues or have concerns about the process, I recommend contacting Amazon Seller Support for further assistance. They can provide more specific guidance based on your account and product details.
