Why doesn't Amazon see it was a holiday in Quebec yesterday the 24th of June.

Everything was shut down yesterday here in Quebec and we weren't able to ship but of course shipped today and amazon is saying my account is at risk because if late shipments 🙄

Anytime there is a holiday- regardless of the region- it is important to ensure even your personal shipping settings are in alignment with public holidays. You can do this by visiting the shipping settings section of seller central and manage the holiday settings there.

As there are predefined holidays present by default, which will automatically qualify an estimated shipping date or delivery date falls on a public holiday to push the shipping or delivery date to the next operating day.

What holidays are you able to see within your shipping settings?

Alternatively, if you do know there is an upcoming holiday and you would like to prevent further late shipments, you could consider utilizing vacation mode for your selling account. This will prevent new orders from being received through its duration; however, you will still be responsible for shipping orders received prior to this being enabled.

I do hope this information proves beneficial to your business. Please feel free to continue asking questions or providing more relevant information here, as the community and I want to do our best to support you.

All the best,

Stevie.

Any Late Shipment Rate damage will disappear after 30 days. A one time event is unlikely to close your account.

Amazon does not handle some provincial holidays very well and can also have problems when moveable holidays (like Christmas) are on a weekend.

Set your shipping to 2 days rather than one. That way any weekend sales ship Monday or Tuesday and will be okay even if there is a Monday holiday.
