Amazon rep gave customer a prior refund without returning the item, SAFE-T claim denied..
My customer requested a return in which their reason was "Style not as expected". I'm not exactly sure why Amazon gave the customer a prior refund when they haven't even shipped the item yet. I'm assuming this was an error because he refund reason was "Missed Fulfillment Promise". I believe the person contacted support through live chat and the representative chose a random refund reason. However, I was emailed saying that the reason the refund was given prior was because they promised to contact me upon return. I never received the product. I also did not miss the fulfillment promise as well. I was supposed to ship this by July 5th - July 6th and it came earlier than expected, it actually arrived on July 7th after I shipped it on July 5th. Amazon ended up denying my SAFE-T claim because they said I didn't use an Amazon shipping label. I get that much, except that the customer did get their item and the return label was provided by Amazon. With this logic, my label shouldn't matter because at this point Amazon provided the last label in which the customer should have used to ship the item back to me.
BTW this was for a pair of crocs, I'm not sure if this is relevant.
Also I am a new seller, so any help or enlightenment would be much appreciated, thank you!

Thank you for visiting the seller forums.
I want to review the SAFE-T claim. Will you please provide me with the Order number?
Thanks, Susan
