Item type and browser node incorrect. Amazon finally realized the issue but never fixed it

This seems to be a common issue with items being placed in the wrong Item type and in turn gives it the wrong browser node path. In fact I think that it is so common that most of the support team fail to actually investigate the actual problem because in most cases the generic response of , " This product is assigned to the current category based on the detail page and how Amazon customers find products through search and browse. The categorization of ASINs has been reviewed by our category teams and the current category is appropriate for this product." is normally the correct answer.

However the issue I am facing is that my product is clearly categorized in the wrong browser node path. I have submitted multiple support tickets over the past 2 months and I finally got someone who understood there was an actual issue. It took them about a day to investigate and I received a response saying they updated the browser node on their end and I should see a change reflect in about 24 hours. Its been about 2 weeks now and no changes have been made to the browser node path. To make matters worse when I open up a support ticket for this same issue I am now getting the generic response with no actual investigation to see that there clearly is an problem. They will not even reference the previous case ID that admitted there was an issue and assured me it would be fixed.

The exact issue is that my parent ASIN for this particular product has the correct item type and browser node path. However the child ASINS are in a completely different and obviously wrong item type and browser node path. My item is a chicken shredder. There are multiple different browser nodes that this product could fall under and I understand that. Yet they have the child ASINS under office products and the end browser node is paper shredder. The parent ASIN being correctly browser node categorized and the child ASINS not matching should be enough for me to make the change on my own but it is not. I am at a loss for what to do at this point.

my product ASIN is B0CP6XX8KC

the case ID number where they acknowledged the issue and said it was fixed is ID 16737870331

Any help or suggestions are greatly appreciated.

thanks

Good Afternoon @Seller_f2StCJPX1cvAQ,

I wanted to let you know that I have escalated CASE ID 16737870331 to one of our internal teams to review to see if we are able to adjust your browse nodes to a more appropriate category (maybe something in kitchen instead of office supplies). The partner team reviewing your case should get back to us within the next few business days. Until then, have a fabulous rest of the week.

Sincerely, Cooper_Amazon
