Amazon Charging Me GST/QST on Advertising and Seller Fees - They are not allowed to, and support is USELESS!
Amazon Charging Me GST/QST on Advertising and Seller Fees - They are not allowed to, and support is USELESS!
It's been over a month I'm trying to get an answer as to why they are still charging me GST/QST on ads, there's no answer except for robot template responses. They owe tens of thousands of dollars they collected in taxes they are NOT ALLOWED to collect from me and no one answers.
This is so ridiculous how they treat sellers, I'm hoping posting in the forum can get someone's attention because I want my money back and I want them to stop charging me taxes!!

You have provided amazon with the reason (and documents to back that up) that you are exempt from paying sales tax ?

Why aren't they allowed to collect from you? The government makes the rules, why would you be exempt? Wouldn't that be considered an input tax credit against your sales tax paid to CRA?

Any reasons why you should be tax exempt? Amazon charges everyone sales taxes
Seller_7LrAV0m5llaI7
The government doesn't say that. Please share where they say that.

You misunderstand the rules.
Inputting your HST or QST numbers is only relevant to sales you make on Amazon. When a customer buys something from you on Amazon. It tells Amazon you are a registrant and they pass the tax on to you for remittance to the government.
The tax they charge on fees you pay them is completely unrelated. It was several years ago that this changed where the government required Amazon to charge HST on these fees. It should not be a big deal as you can claim it back as an ITC.
Amazon is ignoring your question because they probably have no idea what you are asking.

You can get those taxes back through your ITC (input tax credits) on GST and QST you paid to the CRA

You are wrong here.
Amazon ads is a service and all services are taxable.
You will get it back when you will file your taxes (ITC) or Crédit de taxe sur les intrants (CTI) en français.
