Please help with unverified purchase fake review
Dear Amazon Community Support,
I am writing to formally request an investigation and removal of multiple suspicious 1-star reviews that have been left on my product listing. These 5 reviews destroyed my product. The reviews rating dropped from 4.8 to 2.8.
After conducting a detailed investigation, I have found compelling evidence suggesting these 5 reviews are not legitimate and may be part of a coordinated effort to harm my product’s reputation.
Below are the key findings:
Details of the Issue:
ASIN: B0DY5JSKW5
Marketplace: Amazon Canada
Amazon Case ID: 17654505071
Suspicious Patterns Identified:
1- Unverified Purchases Only All 5 negative reviews are marked as “Unverified Purchase.” My product is exclusively sold on Amazon.ca and not available elsewhere, so a verified purchase is expected for a legitimate review.
2- Timing of Reviews Four reviews were posted on April 19, 2025, and one on April 20, 2025 — an unusually tight cluster, suggesting coordinated activity rather than organic customer feedback.
3- New Reviewer Accounts All reviewer profiles were created in 2025, with no history prior to that. This sudden influx of new accounts leaving only negative reviews raises a significant red flag.
4- Volume of Reviews per Account Each of these new accounts has posted 15+ reviews, all within a short time frame, and all are unverified purchases. This is consistent with behavior observed in fake or malicious reviewer networks.
5- Exclusivity of the Product As my product is sold exclusively on Amazon Canada, it is highly unlikely — if not impossible — for legitimate customers to leave reviews without purchasing.
6- Low Return Rate: My product has a consistently low return rate — out of 1,300+ orders, only 13 were returned, which reflects a 1% return rate. This further demonstrates that customers are satisfied with the product and that the recent 1-star reviews are not reflective of actual buyer experience. In light of the above,
I respectfully request the following: Immediate investigation into the accounts that left these 1-star reviews. Removal of the 5 illegitimate reviews, as they violate Amazon’s community guidelines on review authenticity. Preventative action against these accounts if found to be in violation of Amazon policies. I appreciate your attention to this matter.
I am confident that upon review, the evidence will clearly show that these reviews are not from genuine customers and are damaging the trust and integrity of the Amazon marketplace.
Please let me know if any further documentation or proof is required on my part.
I am happy to cooperate fully. Below are links to the 5, 1 star unverified purchase fake reviews.
Thank you

I feel for you. I am going through a similar situation but slightly different than yours. To get a review and rating deleted because of the negligence of Amazon's FBA department. I have been fighting with the seller support for the last few days. From that experience, I would say to report those reviews first because, as far as I know, the seller support doesn't have the control to delete reviews or ratings; they need to work with an internal team to get the reviews deleted.
And the policy Amazon follows for getting the reviews deleted is unacceptable. They don't know how hard it is to get positive reviews, and it's very easy to get negative reviews. And allowing people to post non-verified purchase reviews is so funny.
In my case, a customer returned a product saying the box was damaged, and some genius from the warehouse team added that product back to the inventory, tagging it as sellable. This customer had already opened the product box.
Another customer placed an order, and the customer received this damaged product and left a negative review. Even the customer mentioned in the review that the product received was a returned product (lol). Thankfully, the image attached by the customer clearly shows the LPN number. So, according to Amazon, the review doesn't violate the community guidelines. Amazon is responsible for storage, packing, and shipping under FBA; this issue is beyond our control as a seller. We try our best to provide high-quality products, but some policies they have in place are outdated, and it is high time to make changes to these policies. Every time they come up with this reply, "I understand this is not the outcome you were hoping for, "even if it's a mistake from their side.
It's the sellers who always suffer. For the customers:
- The refunds, returns, and exchanges are initiated immediately, even without showing any proof
- Sometimes refunds are provided even after 6 months
- Give exceptions and initiate refunds immediately
When it comes to sellers:
- A minimum of 45 days to start an investigation,
- It takes months to get reimbursements.
- Copy-paste responses from the seller support with more than 10 different links rejecting our requests.
- Mishandlings from the FBA department and sellers must suffer losses, negative feedback, and reviews.
- Asking for proofs, documentation, authorization letters, etc.
