Does printing a label by the ship by date with a date after the ship by date count as a late shipment?

I have an order that is supposed to ship by tomorrow, but I'm getting into that idiotic Does Not Meet Business Hours thing, so Amazon expects me to pay $20 extra to ship the package by UPS 3-Day instead of UPS Ground so that it doesn't arrive on a Saturday. If I ship it out on Friday instead of tomorrow (Thursday), the package will still arrive by the deliver by date. But, in order to get the UPS Ground label, I need to select that the package is shipping Friday even though my Ship By date is Thursday. So, I'm wondering if I enter a ship date of Friday and do ship it on on Friday, but print the label by the ship by date, will that count as a late shipment? I know I could print the label off-site and bypass the business hours nonsense, but then I'll lose the Buy Shipping protection, and this is a fairly expensive order.

By the way, to make this whole business hours nonsense even more stupid, I just realized that Amazon implemented it incorrectly. UPS only delivers UPS Ground to businesses on Saturday if that business has opted into Saturday deliveries and has a Saturday Ground pickup. I checked on the UPS website for the delivery date and confirmed that the delivery is on Monday since this is a commercial addresses, and would only be Saturday if it was residential. So, Amazon is incorrectly calculating the delivery day as Saturday when it is really Monday, and then saying I can't send it by UPS Ground on the ship by date because of their bad coding.
