Brand Registry owner verses brand steward

We are trying to "clean" up our products listed on Amazon. We have a seller account and connected brand registry plus Transparency account for our brands. We continue to receive comments/responses regarding products previously created by other sellers that we are not the brand owner or "we have sent the changes you requested to that brand steward for consideration."

Is it possible to "claim" our brand, only have authorized re-sellers sell our brand, and have successful cases to change product copy (such as wrong manufacturer)?

Hello @Seller_a4z76i4xifO89,

Yes, this is possible. Admittedly, depending on the volume, it can be a bit time consuming, but I am happy to provide the appropriate steps and help to guide you through it.

First, If you are the Administrator for the Brand, you can update the roles of all Selling Accounts connected to your brand. The Manage your Brand Registry Selling Roles guide provides the differences in Selling Roles and what they can access as well as directions how to make any changes.

The above really matters for when you hit responses like what you described here:

Neither Brand Registry Support or Seller Support will overwrite contributions on ASINs when both Sellers have the same role within the brand. It is up to the brand itself to determine access levels and set their own policy/procedure.

Once all the correct roles/permissions have been established, you can then make the appropriate changes. For example, if you have changed all other Seller roles to Reseller and yours remains the Brand Representative, you can contribute all the appropriate changes from your selling account.

Please let me know if you have any other questions.

Best, Dougal
