Amazon Affiliate Marketing Policy Question: Selling Products Similar to Your Own

Greetings,

I am a professional Amazon seller. My interest and what I am in question about, though I have not done it yet as I want to clarify what Amazon's policy is first before doing anything, is regarding creating an affiliate marketing blog/website for my brand that sells other similar niche products from Amazon through various affiliate marketing techniques, namely using the Amazon Associates Affiliate Marketing Program. Would I be able to upload products in niches related to what I sell and/or the same as the products I sell?

Theoretically, I would do this be writing up or mentioning said products in various blog posts or email newsletters, specifiying what the product does, how it works, etc, and providing the affiliate link.

Additionally, I thought to create an affiliate sales directory for different categories of various products I would promote as Amazon affiliate links; additionally, I would be selling my own product on the same website and emails via a direct link to Amazon.

Similarly, as a second question, if I am selling dog collars via Amazon as a professional seller, could I, for example, sell dog leashes via affiliate links? More specifically, I intend to write blog posts about products that I am selling.

Thirdly, can I post sell via affiliate links my own product outside of Amazon?

Were I to do this, would such actions be in agreement with Amazon? Sorry for the lengthy question, but I prefer to ask before I act.

For the record, if it is of any relevance, the reason I want to do this is to drive traffic to my site, create brand awareness, and generate a little bit of extra revenue.

Thank You!
