reposting unanswered question re: Climate Pledge Friendly badge PLEASE ADVISE thanks

Hi again,

To review, I have a sustainable fashion product made of recycled materials by a manufacturer who has more than one of the third-party certifications needed to apply for the Climate Pledge Friendly badge. However, I as the seller don't have these certifications in my company's name. My question (first posted a week ago) was whether there is a way to apply for the badge using the factory's certifications and proof that my branded product was made by them. My understanding from looking at all the articles and the application is that the answer is no, that I can't get this badge without first obtaining the third-party certification in my brand's name, which would cost about seven thousand dollars minimum (which I don't have as I just started).

One reason I'm asking is that I'm working with an Amazon-partnered advertising agency and they keep reminding me to get the badge as if it's a simple matter of applying. I also asked support and they just copy-pasted links to the aforementioned articles and application...

Here is the first post:

Hi, I'm a brand-registered FBA seller with just one product so far. The product is a sustainable fashion item made from recycled materials that is manufactured (in China) by a factory with several sustainability certifications (B Corp, GRS,etc.). I have put sustainability first in every decision I made about shipping, packaging, etc. and plan to do so with all future products under this brand. My first question is whether I can apply for the Climate Pledge Friendly badge using the factory's credentials, or if my brand has to get these certifications on its own (which would take forever and cost a fortune and might not even be possible). I've seen others ask this here, but can't seem to find a definitive answer.

My second question is whether it would go against Terms of Service to mention these certifications in my listing - either in the images or text - if I'm explicit in saying that the factory is the one who has them, not the brand. I paid more to get this product made sustainably, and I just need a way to back up this honest claim so I can compete with the hordes of sellers using "sustainable" and "eco-friendly" in their marketing without having anything to back it up.

Any and all advice welcome. Thanks in advance!

Hi there @Seller_OZGjXZrJdeOnQ

Hoping I provide some helpful information to your questions.

First off, for Climate Pledge Friendly certifications, the product itself needs to have proper documentation. While I suppose the whole brand could have the necessary approvals, it is product based. Do you have anything for the product itself? The factory having sustainable certifications is different than the product having them so please let me know!

Second, I would not put anything within the detail page that is a claim that you do not have documentation for.
