Handling Time Issue

Has anyone experienced handling times not working, despite having the proper information loaded into the individual SKU?

I know that several months back Amazon implemented that automatic handling time program, but if you wanted a SKU to have a longer handling time, you could simply go into the SKU and update it manually.

Well, that doesn't seem to work. Most of the products we sell ship same day, BUT, we have a subset of products that come from a slower vendor and need a few days to ship. I have the handling time set at 4 days for a particular SKU from this vendor and the shipping template is 3-5 days. We got an order last night at 5:22pm and the ship by date is flippin today!!! This has been happening over the last month or so.

I can't tell you how many times I've gone in and checked to make sure it's at 4 days handling time and the proper shipping template. 5:22pm the evening before to today is just unreasonable! That's basically 1 day expedited shipping for no extra cost. We DO have expedited shipping options, but even those are at 2-3 days, not 1 day (and the customer didn't opt for that, it's just standard shipping)

Is anyone else experiencing this? The shipping template and handling time is correct. I've double triple checked it. Seems like Amazon is somehow overriding these settings maybe? It's so frustrating. The order hasn't even been placed with the vendor yet, because 5:22pm is after normal business hours and it's 6:52am and our order processing girl doesn't come in until 9am (again, normal business hours). It likely won't ship until tomorrow.

Does anyone have any recommendation on how to fix this? I'm at a loss. This is a hot product for us and we're going to end up losing the featured offer because of service issues if we can't fix this.
