Hello. This would be my first FBA shipment and I have gone though all the videos but still confused and I do not want to mess my first shipment to Amazon.
1) I buy already made items that are individually packed with the original bar code.
2) This products are sold by others, with the same bar code as the company produces all equal items for all sellers
3) I have created a listing and I was attributed a SKU in amazon
4) I have prepared all items on the same box and outside that box I have the SKU label that I made using the amazon page on the product listing.
This is correct or I need also to make a sticker with the SKU on each item? It makes no sense to me as I would then override the original package.
PS: Since what I am shipping is expensive can I get a shipping insurance or amazon covers this on the paid price for the shipping?
Thank you

Your product is identified to Amazon warehouse workers either by manufacturer barcode or by FNSKU.
If you use the UPC (and this is not allowed for all items), then yours will be co-mingled with others. All sorts of grief may arise from this. If (and there isn't much "if" involved) another seller sends in actual counterfeits, or liquidated stock, etc, you may take the blame.
For most items with a MFN bar code using that code is an option but it will "comingle" your inventory with other sellers which has its risks.
This is the better option, to use Amazon FNSKUs
This is a confusing statement, please clarify. The items should be preped according to Amazon policy and labelled individually. The shipment box should have the FBA Box label and shipping label if shipped SPD, if sent FTL/LTL the box will have the FBA box label and the pallet will have pallet labels.
If you are confused about the Amazon label being priority over the MFN barcode then yes, you are correct. The FNSKU should be the only visable UPC code if you have chosen to use FNSKUs. If your choose to use MFN UPC then that should be the only visable code.
Hi @Seller_2n6KRS1FYjjVD,
Dominic from Amazon here, happy to help!
@Seller_Qbd0RsfZFEZBY gave some great recommendations. I want to stress what he said below
Labeling is super important for FBA as that is how inventory is tracked through the system.
Please let me know if you have any follow up questions!
Best,
Dominic
