Amazon believes my product expires when it does not.

The new listing I made which is our brand and being put for the first time on Amazon is requiring an expiration date when I try to ship it for FBA even though I made the listing and did not put that the product expires. I have contacted Amazon was told to delete and remake it 24 hours later, after doing that it still came back requiring we use Amazons ASIN barcodes instead of just manufacturer barcodes because of the expiration date, which means I have to use ASIN barcodes.

I then created a new case sending Amazon the Safety Data Sheet for the product which is only pumice sand. And they then still claim the product still expires even though the SDS shows otherwise.

Is there anything I can do to change this? The packaging already has the GITN and i'd like to avoid an extra step in having to label all of our product covering the packaging with a sticker and deal with something that may "expire".

Other products I have sold did not require an expiration and I was able to sell using the manufacturer barcode, I don't understand why this one is.

To be honest, you're probably going to have to start labelling your ASINs anyway. Every other week we are given a new ASIN that can't be shipped to an FC without an FNSKU applied over the manufacturer's barcode (we are the sole manufacturer, sole distributor, but amazon still requires us to sticker about 15% of our catalog and that number is growing).

I suspect this is a way to force/claim stickering errors that earn Amazon money, but of course I have no proof of this.

None of the products we sell are food, nor to they have any kind of shelf life issues (if you don't count like, the natural degradation a wet product sitting on a shelf for years and years may face).

We give every ASIN we send in the longest possible expiration date. I believe it is 5 years iirc? Since you shouldn't treat an Amazon FC like a storage facility, they will not be in the facility long enough to expire in Amazon's eyes.

Best of luck

Hey @Seller_ug3eIPMKfFBEj, have you reached out to Seller Support for this issue? Can you let me know the case ID so I can look into it?
