USPS lost 8 of my packages 🙁
Hello fellow Amazon sellers,I'm reaching out for some advice regarding FBM shipments. Lately, I've been exclusively using USPS due to some fraudulent practices I experienced with UPS, where they wrongfully charged me for shipping adjustments. So far, USPS has been working well for me, until this week.On Wednesday, I dropped off 8 packages at a specific post office. They were all scanned, and I have a receipt as proof. However, there has been absolutely no update since then. When I check the tracking number, it still shows that the packages are at the same location. Unfortunately, I didn't think to purchase insurance for these 8 packages, which I now regret.When I visited the USPS office to seek assistance, the lady there refused to help me or even have someone check the back for the missing boxes. It was frustrating to see two employees on their phones, chatting with their friends, instead of addressing my concerns. Despite my frustration, I'm considering accepting the loss and moving on.This month has been great for me in terms of FBM sales, with profits nearing $10,000. However, the value of these lost packages amounts to around $215. I would greatly appreciate any advice or suggestions on what steps I could potentially take in this situation.Thank you all in advance for your support. Even if I can’t get my money back I still want to file a report on this store as 8 lost boxes are unacceptable. I typically don’t bother with insurance if the item is worth less than 30 dollars, as a hit here and there isn’t a big deal, however 8 boxes lost is insane.

Give it a few more days; it's possible they forgot to scan them and they are currently in Transit and will be scanned/updated when they reach the next hub or delivery location.
USPS integrated/combined First Class with Ground Advantage this week, so they could be experiencing some hiccups.
If there have been no updates by Monday then you can open an inquiry online and a USPS Agent will do a deeper investigation and will usually get back to you within 24 hours.

As long as you purchase shipping amazon services, you’re golden for any az claim INR….
If these packages get lost, just gave them as lost for your taxes… not ideal, but then it’s not at total lost.

I have been having some similar issues. I drop off the packages and it's taking some of them 2-3 days to get from my local post office to the local sort facility. Also, I've had one package recently where it's been a week with zero updates. I always scan and drop off before the last pickup time.
