Account Deactivation Canada
Hello Everyone,
Our account was deactivated recently for one ASIN in question, details below:
We purchased 10 units of this item on Amazon.com via our business buyer account none-prime, imported it to Canada and added it to our inventory for sale on the Canadian marketplace. We are not the creators of this listing, detail page, photos etc.
Later, Amazon identified this item as a certain brand, that is totally different from the actual listing and the brand name that is included in the detail page and listing. After a section 3 review for this ASIN, our account was deactivated and it has been nearly 3 weeks.
The listings are still active on both .com and .ca, we were under the impression that our purchase would be guaranteed by Amazon as a customer, and we would receive authentic and legit products.
Amazon has asked for a "letter of authorization", however we never sold any of that particular brands products. Why would we have a LOA from them?
We submitted our appeal over a week ago and have not heard back. We have all documents available, our invoice is an Amazon invoice, yet we do not know what caused this to happen or how we can fix it.
We are kindly asking Amazon to review this post and our case, and tell us how we can fix it so we can get back to selling and further protect Amazon and their customers.
Thank you

Hello @Seller_AzgMxUEG8gkka,
Thank you for posting your concerns with your account deactivation.

As you describe the situation it sounds like there may have been a violation of the intellectual properties associate to your listing rather than your product. You are individually responsible for fully verifying that your listings and products 100% match as some individuals pay a large sums for licensing rights to use another companies brand with their and have a letter of authorization or approval from the brand. This is likely why the listing is still active but you were deactivated. Can you provide your deactivation notice or the related ASIN?
Amazon has asked for a "letter of authorization", however we never sold any of that particular brands products. Why would we have a LOA from them?
At this state we will need that letter of authorization that verifies you are an authorized distributor for the mentioned brand. When it comes to intellectual properties, simply listing the product and it being in your manage inventory is paramount to infringement due to the indented use of these intellectual properties for profit. Again, even if these were out of stock, the difference is a matter of updating that zero to a one thus we consider this a serious violation.

It is never recommended to use amazon as a product source as we may be approved to sell to end consumers, we cannot authorized you to use anyone else's intellectual properties, which is why the LOA is required to verify authorization. As this is a dispute only scenario, we will require that you provide the requested letter of authorization to verify compliance.
If this document cannot be provided, the account may not be eligible for reactivation.
