Late shipping issues

Has anyone else encountered issues with the Late Shipping logic? I received a Deactivation threat due to late shipping, however, upon examining the data, Amazon expects the order to ship in 1 business day when my settings are set to 2 business days and have been for quite some time. I have disabled the Amazon automated shipping/fulfillment logic (as that will surely get you tagged for late shipping in my experience!), so I know that is not the cause of the missed shipping time.

I tried to reach the Account Health team, but after a nearly 1-hour hold session, I canceled the call to try again later.

I am just curious if anyone else is seeing this issue. It may be related to the poorly implemented 'Location' feature that caused issues for my fulfillment partner earlier this month.

Thanks in advance.

You are certainly not alone in having your handling time tampered with.

Amazon did announce their intention of doing this, further -- it will be an ongoing effort on their part to sabotage your account. So you must remain vigilant.

You must do two things -- disable automation for default handling, and you must set the handling time at the SKU level.

Also make sure you have not allowed automation on any of your shipping templates.

And know that offering any form of premium shipping will override the handling time.

Clearly, you cannot fix the late shipping defect other than by going forward and always shipping on time.

You were at fault for not bothering to check the shipping deadline and there is no excuse.

But if you are not deactivated at this time, you may be able to fix it just through more time and more orders.

Yes, that is what I am doing... but all automation is off and the SKU level was set to Zero - which should then use the Default '2 day' I have set. Instead, Amazon is calculating the late orders on '1-day', exactly to the minute, I might add. When I review all FBM orders over the past 3 months, I have a defect rate of 0% when taking into consideration the 2-day shipping default. Most certainly, this is an Amazon 'bug' and I will take it up with Account Health.

Amazon "fixing nothing important, while constantly screwing with sellers about shipping time automation" great slogan!

Oh no !

If you set the handling time at the SKU level to zero then you have set yourself up for mandatory same day shipping -- your handling time is zero, as you set it.

You can no longer rely upon using a default handling time, and even when you could -- typing a Zero into the field would mean zero days handling time.

a value of zero in the SKU level should result in using the default.

You persist in believing this -- yet it is not so. And has never been true, and should not be true.

Entering nothing at all in that field results in the default being used.

Entering zero in that field means you HAVE set the handling time -- and it is zero.

I am having same problem, except they have disabled me until I either quit or buy their postage to send my packages.

The USPS is NOT scanning like they should be doing , so it makes the delivery look late to Amazon because it has not been SCANNED!

I went over & over this with Amazon and I finally understand were they are coming from about the late shipments.

I had to actually complain loudly at the USPS because I am sick & tired of being responsible for the Carrier when I can not control his actions, but we as sellers get punished.

Good luck! I am praying for you because you need all the help you can get.

We converted most of our listings (and will do more soon) to 5 day latency because of this. We still have some things scanning in late even with that. The good news is that most packages arrive very early. I know it impacts conversion and order volume, but the only other option is fba (which is a H.E double hockey sticks "NO" for every reason out there) or 3P which isnt in our longterm 3P marketplace plans. I'd rather do less volume and not stress at this point. We have enough stress dealing with faux listing policy violations.
