Why am i getting charges for an inactive account

I have not used my seller account since 2019, i have zero inventory since placing it inactive, yet amazon keeps charging fba storage fees, i've tried to close this account several times but they keep a running total there, even after they charged my credit card, and the system will not let me close it. Ive tried everything to contact amazon seller support, even reach out to amazon support, but no one can do anything. I think they are keeping it open to collect fees that should never be there. This has led to me cancelling all my amazon and having to change my credit card, absolutely ridiculous. This has been the worst customer support i've ever experience.
