Brand Registry Appeal Rejected

Hello all,

I recently filed an appeal form for my brand registry application and it was rejected because Amazon "could not verify the registered business name and business identifier (for example: tax ID number or business ID number) provided by you at the time of submitting the appeal form."

I am not sure how this is possible as I included my EIN verification letter from the IRS indicating that the EIN I provided was associated with my LLC. The only thing I can think of is that on this letter, my brand is listed as "Hoglund & Sons" rather than "Höglund & Sons" as "ö" (with an umlaut) is not available on the IRS keyboard (both my trademark and LLC have the ö). My address and name are exactly the same on all of the forms.

My case ID is 16933246831. I would greatly appreciate if @CR_Amazon@Sandy_Amazon@Dougal_Amazon @Jim_Amazon could provide guidance with this and possibly escalate the case internally.

Thank you very much for your help,

Brandon Hoglund

Hi Brandon (@Seller_MkKa2cH3gEDgi),

The help page (https://sellercentral.amazon.com/help/hub/reference/GJPGY8BRDAQUQV4V) confirms that brand registry applications require exact matches between trademark details and application information. Since this is a technical limitation involving special characters, I'd recommend contacting Brand Registry Support directly for guidance on how to handle this specific situation.

You can reach Brand Registry Support through either:

  • Seller Central Help: https://sellercentral.amazon.com/help/center
  • Brand Registry Help: https://brandregistry.amazon.com/help/hub

Best regards, Michael
