USPS not a Shipping
I have an order due to ship today, and I normally ship via USPS media mail. That is the "Shipping Service used to calculate Delivery Promise".
However, the only options I am getting through Buy Shipping (for same-state shipping: California) is UPS, starting at $8.22.

Could be because Amazon doesn't have the item classified as a book -- therefore not eligible for Media Mail. Other option is that Amazon thinks that Media Mail will not get to the buyer inside the delivery window.
You can purchase shipping outside of Amazon and then transfer the tracking number to the order detail page.
