frozen product

hello everyone, has anyone encountered their products that were liquid freezing while in transport to an amazon center?

we shipped 200 units from ontario to calgary and the truck was stuck for 2 days because of a storm, im hoping our products did not freeze inside the trucks, or does anyone know if they use temp regulated trailers? if our products freeze they would not be any good would amazon reimburse for this?

any insight would be appreciated

It would be the responsibility of the shipping company.

Hi @Seller_OwKLaenLwt6K9,

I'm sorry to hear about the unfortunate situation with your shipment getting stuck in a storm, potentially causing your liquid products to freeze during transit. This must be a concerning and frustrating experience, and I understand your worries about the condition of your products upon arrival.

It's important to note that Amazon does not typically use temperature-regulated trailers for inbound shipments unless specifically requested and arranged in advance. The standard trailers are not climate-controlled, which means that your products may have been exposed to freezing temperatures during the extended transit time.

Upon receiving your shipment at the Amazon Fulfillment Center, immediately inspect the condition of your products and document any damages or issues with photos or videos.

If you find that your products have been compromised due to freezing, you can file a claim with the carrier (trucking company) for the damages caused during transit. As Dennis_mullin mentioned, the responsibility lies with the shipping company in this case.

Additionally, you can reach out to Amazon Seller Support and provide them with the details of your situation, including the shipment ID, photos/videos of the damaged products, and any relevant documentation from the carrier. Amazon may be able to assist you further or provide guidance on the next steps.

It's essential to act promptly and document everything thoroughly to increase your chances of receiving compensation or reimbursement from the carrier or Amazon, depending on the circumstances.

I understand how frustrating and disappointing this situation must be, but please don't hesitate to reach out to Amazon Seller Support for further assistance.
