Realistic Sexual Wellness Items Policy

Just looking for clarification regarding realistic sexual wellness products (namely, dildos.) Is there such thing as too realistic?

I can't find anything in the seller policies regarding this issue specifically. I did find this Product Listing and Content Guidelines PDF from 2021 for the EU/UK marketplace. But I'm not sure it's valid for USA in 2024? Therein, it states that realistic dildos are allowed, but doesn't provide details beyond that.

In this post on the forum regarding this topic, a mod from amazon stated that if a toy is "too realistic" it may be flagged. Here is the quote:

"While you can definitely sell products such as dildos on Amazon, they do have to comply and ensure the product itself is not too sexually explicit. Is the product something that resembles the real thing too much or looks just like it that it can be considered explicit? If so than that can very much be the reason why it was flagged for restricted for Amazon and be considered sexually explicit."

This is ambiguous, and I'm not sure how well-informed forum mods are on nuances like this. I'd really like to see something a little more official and specific. Is there an updated Product Guidelines document for the USA market place, or any other resources from Amazon with more specific guidance on this?

Unfortunately, no one knows. Any help you receive, weather its a mod or Seller Support, is based off of what they assume the policy is. No one is capable of giving absolute advise at any part of this platform.

1. I have been told via an FBA bin check that my items are no where close to expired and received a violation the very next day that my items were expired.

2. I was told by a seller support associate that I must apostle my documents with a government entity.

3. I was told, on these forums by a moderator, that I would be connected to someone that would help with my FBA reimbursement claim...who took 2 weeks to tell me that they cannot reimburse me....only to have my items magically show up 2 weeks later.

I would suggest trial and error. Try uploading your listings as FBM for about 2 weeks and see if it gets flagged. If not, try sending it FBA.

Basically, you need to keep it "family friendly". Look at comparable listings and see how old they are. if you see listings that are 1 or 2 years old and seem to be good as they are, that is the best guideline you can expect. The point I seem to get is, they want no body parts attached or shown and no too detailed close ups.
