Canada Post Strike, Customer Orders, and Performance Metrics

Hello,

Hope you guys are doing very well. We are a seller based in Florida, United States. We had shipped Amazon Canada orders using GlobalPost. The mail carrier hands over the packages to Canada Post after customs clearance. We had dispatched the customer orders just prior to the nationwide strike and now the packages are stuck somewhere in Canada. As there is still no agreement in sight between the national mail operator and its workers, these orders will most probably be delivered late. This terrible situation will have dire consequences for our account (and almost every other seller's account on this platform). How is Amazon going to help protect its sellers when things are clearly out of our hands? We need clear guidance from Amazon. Thank you and take care!

That will not go to happen. On your place I would immediately put all FBM listings to 0 inventory. Otherwise you will be hit with "Late delivery". And that will lead to your account suspension.

If possible take Canada out of your shipping template for now. At least you can still sell within the USA. Us Canadian sellers cannot get any answer at all from Amazon, never mind "clear guidance." So many are on vacation mode for all items.

I had the same issue. Happened to be informed by my 3rd party shipping platform, never heard a word from Amazon about the strike. Unfortunately, I had many orders already on their way. I zero'd out all inventory of my Canada FBM stock... then waited for the complaint messages to come in. I simply refunded everyone for their orders (luckily my products are not expensive). Not sure I will ever go back to FBM in Canada again.... very little upside, with tremendous downside risk. And no communication from Amazon about how to navigate. Feels like Canada Post employees used small businesses and rural Canadian customers as human shields in their hopes for a pay raise during the holidays - disappointing.
