as a newcomer, I'm shocked about how many issues Amazon has. So far no process was easy, and all because of "backlogs".

I guess I'm getting ready while praying for the best?

Hey everyone! 😊

I’m pretty new to selling on Amazon, and this is my first spring season. Honestly, it’s been a mix of excitement and confusion 😅

My biggest question right now is: how do you plan your inventory during seasonal times like spring? I always feel like I’m either ordering too little or too much, and I don’t want to miss out on potential sales or get stuck with extra stock.

Also, do you usually adjust your listings or ads for spring themes, or just keep them general?

I’d really appreciate any advice from experienced sellers. Thanks in advance, and good luck to everyone in the sweepstakes! 🍀

Spring is one of the best times to be an Amazon seller. People are shopping for everything from outdoor gear to fitness products to seasonal home decor. Whether you're just launching your first listing or already have a few sales under your belt, this season can bring a huge wave of opportunity.

If you're new to all this, here's a list of 10 things experienced sellers wish they had known during their first spring season—consider it your unofficial cheat sheet:

1. Get ahead of seasonal trends

Start planning weeks (or even months) in advance. Products tied to spring—think gardening, fitness, allergy season—start picking up early, and the sellers who win are the ones who prepare ahead of time.

2. Stay on top of your inventory

Running out of stock in the middle of a sales spike is the worst. Keep a close eye on how things are moving, and always build in some buffer for restocks—especially if you’re using FBA.

3. Write listings like you're talking to a friend

Skip the robotic descriptions. Think about how you’d describe the product in real life and highlight why it’s useful during spring. Clear, helpful, and honest always wins.

4. Use great photos (especially outdoors!)

Spring is all about freshness, color, and energy. If your product fits the vibe, show it in a spring setting. Natural light, greenery, people using it outside—it makes a difference.

5. Don't sleep on your product title

Your title is the first thing people see. Make it easy to understand, and focus on what people are actually searching for. What would you type in to find your product?

6. Reviews matter more than you think

Even a handful of honest reviews can go a long way. Don’t be afraid to politely follow up with customers after they’ve received the product. The goal isn’t perfect 5-stars—it’s trust.

7. Watch your margins

It’s easy to get excited by sales and forget about fees, shipping, returns, and ads. Keep a simple spreadsheet or system to make sure you’re not losing money on what looks like a “win.”

8. Test ads, but don’t go overboard

Ads can help you get visibility, especially in the early days. Just keep an eye on your spend. Start small, see what works, and tweak from there.

9. Answer your customer messages quickly

A fast, friendly response can make the difference between a return and a repeat customer. It also helps your seller rating.

10. Keep learning as you go

No one knows everything when they start. Stay curious, be open to feedback, and don’t stress the small stuff. Every mistake is a step forward.
