Need Help Merging 2 Seller Accounts Into One
Hello. The question is directed to the Amazon Forum Mods... as I can't get an answer from seller support.
I have two Seller Accounts. (Yes, with the knowledge and blessing of Amazon). I have had these two seller accounts for over ten years. At the time of opening the second account, Amazon only allowed "New Format" accounts to have access to shipping rates settings, and when I inquired about how to acquire this feature, Amazon told me to make a second account for those items I wanted to offer different shipping rates on. The support rep at that time was helpful and instructed me on how to set the second account up to be compliant with Amazon Rules.
Both accounts are already merged for tax purposes (I receive a unified 1099K). They have different products, bank accounts, and email addresses as required by Amazon.
My question is: Is there any way to merge these into one seller account? Or can my main account be ungated in the brands and categories my 2nd account has, and then acccount #2 be closed or downgraded to individual? For example, but not complete: 1st account sells Books and Videos / 2nd account sells Toys and CDs.
I tried asking seller "support" ( Second try Case ID: 15199945941) but they just keep sending me info on how to add additional countries / marketplaces to my account... I only want to sell in the US, as I cannot afford to maintain a returns address in every country. Both of my seller accounts are US only.
If there is no way to obtain selling privileges on my main account that match my second account, or to merge the two into one account, then my question morphs into: can I downgrade one account to an individual account and keep the other as Professional? Or would a downgrade on one trigger a downgrade on both?
Thank you for any assistance you can offer to me.
