Amazon FBA Showing a 20 day Shipping Time

Hi,

I sent 2 SKU’s to Amazon and they were delivered to them today. To my surprise, within 3 hours they were available to buy on the website with the correct inventory levels. However, even though it is FBA, the fastest delivery date for them is March 10 and it currently is February 16.

So what gives?

In stock head start. I have this with some products as well. Amazon is offering the products to the buyers while they are being transferred between warehouses. The dates are not actually accurate as they will be updated as the products actually arrive at their final destination. Orders that are placed will be shipped ASAP. I personally placed an order for products that were prime and the estimated delivery date was more than a week out; they arrived within 2 days.

Amazon is often having a problem with the process of actually receiving the items and updating the statuses after the shipment arrives at the warehouse you shipped to. To accommodate that, they are allowing orders to be placed with a future date of more than a month, which will usually mean they will order from a competitor.

In most cases, the items actually will get received earlier and then updated as in stock for a normal delivery timeframe, but not for the first couple weeks.

I guess it is better than the listing staying inactive until they are actually received late.
