Major flaw in brand registry - Please help
Hello,
There seems to be a major problem with brand registry.
I initially listed my product under generic and now I cannot change this product attribute from generic to brand since being approved in brand registry.
I cannot create a new UPC because I have already purchased the UPC from GS1, and of course, the UPC is printed DIRECTLY on the box (500 units).
Now I deleted the generic listing (hoping my inventory at FBA won’t get stranded) and after 48 hours will try to relist it with the attribute brand. This was suggested to me by the catalogue team as potentially a solution but they were unsure.
Even the catalogue team wasn't able to fix this issue directly. They used to be able to in the past they stated.
How do I proceed? How do I get A+ content for my product?
Any help would be much appreciated!! I feel like I lost a lot of money getting this trademark for nothing…

Hello @Seller_TFWVnYyP25CVv,
My name is Dougal from the Community Manager Team and I can try an assist.
Unfortunately Brand Name changes on an ASIN is not allowed. This is provided on the Register products to your brand help page. Specifically, the first note that is highlighted yellow near the top of the page:
- "Note: The ASIN's brand name can only be updated when the ASIN is created. For more information, go to Amazon brand name policy."
Here is a link to the Amazon Brand Name policy.
I would be happy to look further into this, please provide your case ID(s) from the catalogue team and I will take a look.
Best, Dougal
