Can someone help me understand this please, or ID 702-1612450-7893057
Customer purchased an item I shipped it with Signature verification because it was an expensive item customer doesn't go to the post office to sign for it even though Canada post left plenty of notices for them to go sign for it. The item was started to be returned to me but because of the strike I don't have the item back. Customer opens an AZ claim and was awarded a full refund even the shipping because he didn't receive the item!! What the actual heck???? I appealed the decision of course because they gave the customer a full refund and it was denied. I want my shipping cost back and I want to get the item back!!
@Ricardo_Amazon can you please help me 😊

You need to appeal the decision stating detailed dates/times of every step. Make sure you state customer was not available to receive/sign for the item so he needed to pick it up at the post office. They failed to do so. Seller should not be responsible for the shipping due to the customer not picking the item up. Advise Amazon policy states you can charge a restock for a returned item. Calculate the amount and request that back plus NO ODR hit.

Am wondering, what was the buyer's "reason" for the A-Z?
This is not to justify the A-Z team's decision, but I do know from personal experience that Canada Post does not always leave "Delivery Notice" cards, despite what the tracking might show. (That's been my experience twice, where there was no Notice card). I won't be surprised if the buyer had a similar "reason" and that's why Amazon granted it -- knowing CP showing it left Notice cards is not fool-proof. It's not like the buyer is scamming for a free item.
