CA Prop 65 warning on my natural products
Hello, I sell natural skincare products under my own brand. Our bottles are glass, not plastic. I noticed all my ASINs are coming up with CA Prop 65 warnings during checkout. What is that about? I went to Safety and Compliance under my listings, and it's all blank. There should not be a CA Prop 65 warning; I sell all-natural oils and bath salts.

I'll admit that I don't know much about prop 65 warnings, but I'll point out that "all-natural" is NOT a "get out of jail free" card. Lots of things that are "natural" are regulated, controlled, or outright dangerous. For example, nightshade and arsenic are both "natural", meaning that they occur in nature.
You need to make sure that your "natural" ingredients are in compliance with the regulations.

Good Afternoon @Seller_lg7fpL9uMfC31,
I took a look at CASE ID ending in 1911 and I am no longer seeing the CA Prop 65 warning on the four ASINs you mention in the case so it appears the warning has been removed.
@Seller_PTpw5SQTsiboc and @Seller_Wa80PDFtlMIzi, if your ASINs are showing the CA Prop 65 warning still and you believe it is incorrect, please share your latest CASE ID with Selling Partner Support where you have tried to appeal the warning removal.
@Seller_lg7fpL9uMfC31, feel free to let me know if you happen to see the warning again and I will continue deep diving this situation. Hope everyone has a wonderful rest of the week and takes care.
Sincerely, Cooper_Amazon

Good Evening @Seller_lg7fpL9uMfC31,
I appreciate the clarification. Doing a few tests of my own, it appears the messaging appears for customers with addresses in California. It seems specific to your product listings right now as I tried a random card game and didn't see that messaging using the same California address.
Because of this, I have escalated CASE ID ending in 1911 with the screenshots you shared to an internal partner team to review. We should hear back from them in a few business days. Hope you have a fantastic rest of the week.
Sincerely, Cooper_Amazon

Good Afternoon @Seller_lg7fpL9uMfC31,
I heard back from the partner team and they mentioned that there is nothing malicious on the 4 ASINs you have reached out about having the CA Prop 65 warning. There is also no California_proposition_65 attribute present either meaning its not showing up on your detail page.
Taking a look at another forums thread -->HERE<-- and the Help and Customer Service page that is Customer facing -->HERE<-- the warning is only shared for California residents at check out. It doesn't seem to appear in other customer's living locations (the other 49 states or for countries outside the US).
Please let us know if you have any additional questions or concerns regarding the outcome of this investigation.
Sincerely, Cooper_Amazon

Natural does not mean they do not have some substance that is on the California prop 65 list, one that according to them may cause cancer or reproductive harm. Check on OEHHA website the list with these substances are not in your products then, if they are clear appeal to Amazon.

The issue is with the thermal shipping labels that Amazon prints on the boxes and bags they ship in, not your product. Same goes with receipts from the store, shipping labels contain BPS. I wear gloves when touching the labels I print.

You may have to go into each listing and look for the section on Prop 65. You may be exempt or you may have to comply. So many products just include the warning because Cali basically thinks every single thing causes cancer.
Ok.... I just looked at mine and I don't see an exempt choice now. But I am fairly sure I found it somewhere in the past.... so I might be directing you to the wrong location or it has changed.
