Unable to Reactivate Amazon Seller Central Account Due to Deposit Method Issues

Hello fellow Amazon sellers,

I hope you're all doing well. I'm reaching out to the community in hopes of finding a solution to a problem I've been facing with my Amazon Seller Central account.

A while back, I took a hiatus from selling on Amazon. Upon my return, I found that my account had been deactivated. The reason provided was related to verification errors that occurred during my absence. The specific message I received was:

"Your account has been deactivated. Please click 'Reactivate Your Account' below to resume selling. Your deposit method is missing, invalid, or not assigned. A valid deposit method that is assigned to the current marketplace is required to use your Selling on Amazon account and receive disbursements."

To address this, I attempted to add my preferred deposit method multiple times. However, despite waiting several days between each attempt to allow for any potential updates, the system doesn't seem to recognize or update my deposit method. It's become a frustrating loop where I'm unable to reactivate my account due to this deposit method issue.

Has anyone else faced a similar problem? If so, how did you manage to resolve it? I'm eager to get back to selling and would greatly appreciate any advice or insights from the community.

Does the holder of the bank account match EXACTLY with the "Legal Entity" in your seller account settings? Example: my deposit method was not accepted because instead of first name - second name my bank account is showing second name - first name.

The same thing happened with me and my account was suspended. I have submitted 12 POA in 3 months. But amazon seller performance team always keep rejecting my POA. Fortunately, someone from this forum told me about an consultant and lawyer who helped me to reinstate the account. [Moderator Edit: removed external URL]

In terms of your attempts to update the deposit method, is the system providing any kind of error or reason for the rejection of your information? If so, can you provide a screenshot of what you are seeing on your end.

In terms of the verification, do you have any other methods assigned to your US marketplace that you could complete the verification with? If so, you can attempt to do so to get the account reactivated. You will need to provide documentation for the assigned method to complete the verification.

Thank you for the screenshot provided. It seems the error indicates that the deposit method is invalid, missing, or not assigned. As mentioned in my previous response, if the method is not properly assigned in the US market, it will result in being unable to complete the bank verification. Are you able to assign a method for this market?

Do you receive any kind of error when attempting to put a new method into the system? This isn’t necessarily the banner on the account health page or on the homepage. We are looking more specifically for any messaging that is received during the updating of the information. If you do have an error to share, provide a screenshot of that.

You mention trying a different method, have you had success with this? Be sure to allow up to 48 hours for the change to go into effect. We would also recommend checking out these resources on updating your credit card and viewing your banking information. Any other updates should be provided on this thread.
