The contribution is owned by Amazon Retail
I am Manufacturer, Brand Owner and only seller of a product. I need to remove one child asin from present variation to add another one which is more meaningful and searchable for the customer. I have opened several cases but it can not be removed because "the contribution is owned by Amazon Retail". I do not know what it means.
Anyone knows a solution about it?

Did you ever sell direct to Amazon as a vendor through Vendor Central? If so, that could be it (was for me) and you need to open up a case with Support through Vendor Central.

Can't you just zero out the one you don't want to use and add another child. I have plenty that sit there at zero when a certain size sells out.

Hello, @Seller_NMCvUvojw2Gzt
This is Sunnie, from Amazon. Thank you for using the Forums to post your question.
I reviewed your account, and I understand you have an ASIN in your inventory (ending in ZNQH) that is not part of a variation, but you want to add it to a variation.
Having a contribution from Retail means that Amazon made the correction, however, sometimes, these corrections are not accurate, and can be fixed.
I will be working with our investigations team to review your case again. I will be in touch.

i have the same exact situation, as far as being the creator, owner, only seller, etc. of my product
would love to know what resolution you get, if ever!

I've dealt with this before, although not with the child/parent ASIN variant. I needed to get the brand name changed to be accurate in my case. You need to get on the phone for sure. And ask to be sent to the Catalog team. You might need to discuss your issue with the first person who picks up (most likely seller support). Unfortunately Amazon is a company built on tribal knowledge so it's more about who you get on the phone.
