No Amazon partnered carrier to ship to US FBA centers
I live in Calgary, where we have a fullfilment center and I have sold on amazon canada but I want to now sell in the US market place.
I have created a listing and gone through all the steps but when I go to create shipping plan in order to ship, I dont have option to use amazon’s partnered carriers for a discount and the only option I have is “i’d like to use my own carrier”
The problem with that is I have to go out and send stuff myself and the cost to ship my items to FBA site is more than all my inventory purchased. Has anyone been able to ship items from canada to US fulfilment center in order to sell on amazon.com
I should mention I am doing RA (not wholesale or private label) and so the inventory is at my house in Canada (calgary)

Amazon is not set up for international inbound FBA shipments.
You need to make arrangements for a freight forwarder and customs broker to clear it through US Customs. You could arrange to use the partnered carrier for the US to pick up the shipment (once cleared) and take it the rest of the way. You could prepare the labels and put them on the cartons before providing them to the Canadian carrier.
If your costs are higher than your inventory, you really need to consider how much inventory to ship. The freight costs do not scale with the value. A larger (say palletized) shipment may be a better value than a small shipment.
You can also look into parcel forwarding services for smaller shipments, but you will need to ship to them and then pay them to ship to the destination. You will still be responsible for the import paperwork.
If you are not a US resident, you need a US registered business to assign the import to. That takes time and money to properly set up.

Chit Chats is now accepting FBA with some restrictions:
Effective immediately you can ship Amazon FBA shipments with retail value of up to $800 to each Amazon FBA facility per day.
Example:
If you have 3 boxes each with retail values of $800, you can ship all 3 in the same day as long as they are destined to 3 different FBA facilities (addresses must be different).

For Us Canadian seller sending FBA inventory to Amazon.ca (YYZ, YVR or YYC ) Warehouses, You can use the offer by amazon.ca Ups Partner or you can use your own shipping. which every is cheaper. I remember last year l took my truck and delivered my FBA inventory directly to the YYZ4 location but this is because I’m in Toronto other wise l will have to ship it out using any carrier or a third party shipping service like Shipvista.com
For Cheap and highly discounted shipping labels, we use ship vista express (https://shipvista.com)
On Thursday Dec 3rd one of my Colleagues did their first USA FBA to Amazon.com KYDC LLC and they used shipvista.com to ship using FedEx international economy for only $25.22 from Toronto( Such a super cheap rate) FedEx will offer Custom clearance for them. Also the declare value of the Shipment was under the USA threshold of $800 (so No custom Duties). For Cheap and highly discounted shipping labels, we use ship vista express (https://shipvista.com). Use this link (https://shipvista.com/FindARate.aspx) to see how much it will cost you to ship from your address to the USA FBA

Hi @BLACK_WIDOW_H_B
First thing First l was luck my Ship to Location was YYZ4 and I’m in Toronto.
I guess the process is to go to manage inventory if it’s a new FBA product or Replenish/send shipment and select the items needing Stock or Restock. Then follow the steps. if the shipment is going into your local YYC FBA as in your case then you can deliver it yourself(off cause you can always deliver yourself but l don’t thing it make sense to drive from YYC to YYZ just to drop a shipment yourself . you just have to prepare the shipment(as in put all Sticker to identify the Product) the when you go to print the shipping label, you chose the option for another carrier then you can drive the parcels to the fulfillment Warehouse and wait in the line like any trucks and other carrier trying to deliver other inventory to the warehouse.
you will be check in through security and giving a number or pass and a vest then you can now go to the warehouse and tell them you like to deliver an FBA shipment. and that’s it.
they will show you where to go. Also Please your shipment should have that Label that Says Attention FBA Your company Name LLC and the Amazon Fulfillment center and also have the Amazon warehouse location( You remember that Second Label that comes with every shipment to FBA right? YA this tells you what unit you going to mind was like Unit 21 or something Coz men that amazon center is Huge).
To also get my Local Center, What l do is when I notice that My local Amazon FBA warehouse is available, I start lots of shipment so that it all has YYZ4 as the Center and then l can always drive myself since amazon will not accept if you send your shipment to YYZ when it’s actually Says YVR location.
Hope this helps.

Yes @BLACK_WIDOW_H_B but this is going to YYZ4 ( Great Toronto Area GTA) not YYC unless you have a Contact in Toronto, l don’t think amazon will accept you bring a YYZ4 to YYC but you can always try. Your Shipment should have this Label as this is the want that identify your parcel.
So under shipping carriers you have to other carriers and then you chose others.
Yes you can just make one up ( Say FBA20181209CA)
Then you can now take you parcel to the FBA Warehouse directly( In this Case YYZ4) which is Toronto and when you get the Amazon center security through the truck entrance will check you in and get someone from the warehouse - usually a warehouse supervisor who will let you know which direction or unit to go.
Let US know how it Goes.
Thank you

We have question for @Commodity_Canada_LLC
If we deliver by ourseves our packages to FC in Brampton and/or Mississauga then what paper will AMAZON worker (or whoever responsible for receiving shipments) signed that they (AMAZON) receive shipment in full? Do we need to prepare any paper like Packing List or Bill of lading or Waybill or …? Or do they have their own document confirming shipment received in full? Will they scan product packages (product labels) immediately? Can you please explain the final steps of delivering shipment with more details? Thank you in advance

Dave is correct, please don’t try to deliver product yourself or with your own truck or a courier’s vehicle to the FCs. It must go through an Amazon-approved carrier like UPS or Canada Post etc… Pricing your products to compensate for the shipping fees is important because these fees are unavoidable. Plus, it’s not worth it to waste your time.
