Negative feedback for return never received

** Can I please get help from a moderator on this one? **

Today I received negative seller feedback because the customer states they returned their order and never received a refund. However we never received it and the return UPS tracking proves the return was never picked up. This was a merchant fulfilled order.

Order ID: 114-4529612-8181012

Further more, this "customer" is actually a drop shipping company who is known to abuse Amazon policies on third party sellers. Regardless, this feedback should be removed.

Sadly this doesn't fit into the "reasons" Amazon will remove negative feedback.

What you might do is try to report the order/buyer. At least if there's a case maybe a mod can help.

Dealing with the exact same situation, a mod was able to escalate the case but I have yet to hear anything back yet. I'm confident you can get this removed but it may take some patience.

Our customer went as far as to open an A to Z claim after opening the return, Amazon sided with us and closed the claim in our favor. The buyer promptly left negative feedback as a last ditch effort to get a return-less refund. I'll let it stand and eat the negative feedback/ODR hit before I submit to extortion. All it takes is one seller to stand their ground to prevent a bad actor from continuing to pillage other hardworking merchants.

Tell SS that it was feedback left by a competitor.

'Left by a competitor' is one of the undocumented reasons that Amazon removes feedback. There are officially only three, but unofficially there are more reasons.

BTW, which dropshipping company is it? If you don't want to state the full name, just tell us the first letter.

It is all about how the customer feels they can be lying out their aarse and that makes zero difference. We once got negative cause customer claimed we shipped it to fast they weren't ready for it to arrive total garbage of a system why doesn't Amazon just copy eBay and allow blocking and actually take care of feedback they already copy Walmart and eBay on price fixing so why not feedback.....

I dealt with almost the same thing. A customer gave me a 1-star review, with the headline "Worst Customer Service Ever." The review went on to say 1. the post office was slow with delivery, 2. that she had to pay $6 to return the product (Amazon charged her; I didn't), and 3. that the product wasn't good enough to be sold on Amazon (Well, she didn't even use it because she returned it unopened! I asked Amazon, twice, to please remove the review but they would not remove it. So my 4.9 average (which was built mostly on good customer service) went down to 4.7!!

Customers just don't understand the return/refund process. And, I guess the blame always lies with the seller. My last 1 is from someone who confused 2 returns and returned someone else's product to me and didn't see a refund immediately. Amazon had refunded her long before I realized she sent me the wrong product. But, the 1 happened after her email asking for the refund. I said I had not yet received the item, but it doesn't matter because Amazon refund on first scan and it may take several business days for the refund to show. I finished the email and had my non removable 1. They need to add 'buyer finally received the refund from Amazon' to the feedback removable guidelines.
