It’s probably time to start advertising.

Very nice pitch on buying advertising in different forms, buy it left out some important facts all online sellers must consider BEFORE buying in.

1. The three most important considerations when selling online is product, Product, and PRODUCT. Vendors of advertising will not tell you the bottom line. Advertising will not sell a dead product that no one wants or needs, and if you have a good selling product, it is not necessary.

When you sell a product that buyers want and need, and can sell it at the lowest price offering, it will sell itself with no advertising necessary.

2. Always keep your mine on YOUR bottom line, PROFIT. Advertising does have its place in retail sales but keep in mind how it is funded. Large profitable businesses have an advertising budget created from surplus cash on hand.

Like the Rep said, "you are just starting to see sales". Well, that should tell you that you are not earning surplus profit as of yet. Therefore, any form of advertising will be paid for from your unearned profit as of yet. if you do not pay attention to this fact, your advertising costs can eat all of you unearned profit.

3. Don't jump into advertising too quickly, Make sure you have test sold your product for a month or so , yourself. That way you will gain an understanding of the saleability of your product. With this information you will have a baseline to effectively evaluate any changes you make to the product thru advertising or any other means.
