How to stop amazon from selling used products as new?
So we sell a medical device for home use; many of our returns are because Amazon restocks the device after it has been opened or used, saying it is in resellable condition
It is not in resellable condition because customers show us pictures of open boxes and hair over the device and the seal is broken.
How do we stop this from happening? I need help explaining this to seller support. Since it is considered a medical device, nobody wants to use it secondhand when they pay the full price.
How does this keep with the Amazon slogan "Earth's most customer-centric company"
Any advice appreciated

Hi @Seller_BqlJjRTMneMeg,
I understand your concern regarding the reselling of used or opened products as new, especially for medical devices where hygiene and safety are of utmost importance. This practice not only goes against Amazon's commitment to customer satisfaction but also raises potential health risks for customers who expect to receive brand-new, unused products.
I want to assure you that Amazon takes these issues seriously and has policies in place to prevent the reselling of used or damaged products as new. However, I acknowledge that there may be instances where these policies are not strictly enforced, leading to situations like the one you described.
Here are some suggestions and resources that may help address your concern:
Contact Seller Support: Reach out to Amazon Seller Support and provide detailed information about the specific incidents where used or opened products were resold as new. Include any relevant documentation, such as customer complaints, photographs, or order details. Clearly explain the potential health risks associated with reselling used medical devices and emphasize the importance of maintaining the highest standards of hygiene and safety for your products.
Review Amazon's Condition Guidelines: Amazon has specific guidelines for product condition descriptions, which sellers must follow. Ensure that you are accurately describing the condition of your products and adhering to Amazon's guidelines. You can find these guidelines in the "Listing Products" section of Seller Central Help.
Utilize Amazon's Removal Order Process: If you discover that used or damaged products are being resold as new, you can initiate a removal order through Seller Central. This process allows you to request the removal of these products from Amazon's inventory, ensuring that they are no longer available for sale.
Explore Amazon's Brand Registry: If you haven't already, consider enrolling in Amazon's Brand Registry program. This program provides additional tools and resources to help protect your brand and intellectual property rights, including enhanced product listing control and increased transparency into product listings.
Escalate to Amazon's Catalog Team: If the issue persists after taking the above steps, you may need to escalate the matter to Amazon's Catalog Team. They have the authority to investigate and take appropriate actions to ensure that product listings accurately reflect the condition of the items being sold.
By working closely with Seller Support, utilizing available resources, and escalating the issue if necessary, you can help protect the integrity of your brand and ensure that customers receive the high-quality products they expect.
I hope these suggestions and resources are helpful. Please don't hesitate to reach out if you have any further questions or need additional assistance.
