Shipping to Freight Forwarder
Have a customer who has placed several orders with no incident, he has me ship to a freight forwarder in the US since he is overseas somewhere. The next to last order, he messaged me that he had not received his package in time, yet it was delivered to the FF before the due date, yet he was claiming he didn't get it in time. I said he needed to contact the FF to find out information. Didn't hear back. The last order same thing, only this time after a week or so, he filed a AZ claim for not receiving the package, which Amazon granted, I was out $180 and a ODR ding. I appealed the claim as the order was delivered and accepted by the FF in time. Amazon removed the ODR ding but still would not reimburse me for the costs, and I cannot file a SafeT claim on the order.
I did not use Amazon buy shipping for that order - would that have prevented me from losing the $$ for such a claim?
Thanks.

I would reply back to the a to z stating that they are not following Amazon’s own freight forwarder policy found here..
https://www.amazon.com/gp/help/customer/display.html?nodeId=201910550
Which states..
If a freight forwarding service or hand-carrying is used to ship items internationally, the following applies:
Amazon won't be responsible for damage, defect, material difference, or loss that occurs to goods after they're delivered to you or a freight forwarder. This means that Amazon isn't able to provide a replacement or a refund for any shipment taken outside of the U.S. by hand-carrying or using a freight forwarding service.
