I have the brand name in my brand panel. I sent a screenshot of the brand record in the Amazon brand panel, the brand's invitation email and a screenshot of the brand record in my Seller Central account, but Amazon tells me that I don't have a sales role and I can't upload the product. Can anyone help with this? @Venn Marijan V. @Czar Augustus G.

Hello @Seller_ARkHWwFMwAeEc

Christine here from Amazon Forums.

I understand your frustration. This is actually a common issue that stems from the distinction between protection roles and selling roles in Brand Registry. Let me clarify:

Key Information About Brand Roles:

Protection Roles (Brand Registry):

  • Administrator
  • Rights Owner
  • Registered Agent These roles manage brand protection tools.

Selling Roles (Seller Central):

  • Brand Representative
  • Reseller These roles control your ability to list products.

From your description, it appears you have a protection role in Brand Registry but may be missing the required selling role. Having access to Brand Registry alone is not sufficient to list products - you need the appropriate selling role as well.

Here's what to do:

Check your selling role:

  • Log into Seller Central
  • Go to your brand settings
  • Verify if you have either "Brand Representative" or "Reseller" status

If you don't have a selling role:

  • Contact the brand owner
  • Request to be assigned as a Brand Representative
  • Ensure they submit this through Seller Central, not Brand Registry

If you are the brand owner:

  • Contact Seller Support
  • Specifically, mention you need assistance with "selling role assignment"
  • Provide the documentation you already have ready

Remember: Protection roles and selling roles are managed separately. You need both to fully manage your brand's presence on Amazon.

If you continue to experience issues, please reply with which specific selling role you're trying to obtain, and I can provide more targeted assistance.
