HELP: Second Restricted Products Policy Violation on same ASIN one month after being approved & reinstated.
My ASIN was flagged as a restricted product after one month of selling without any problems. My product was flagged once before (within a week of launch) and I eventually got it reinstated after a long month of communications and supporting evidence. At which point, I then had to supply more evidence for compliance to get my listing unsuspended once reinstated, and my inventory back from stranded, since they both ended up stranded in the time it took to resolve the case.
With 30+ of my first 90 days on Amazon gone, I was finally selling again and things were going good...for awhile. Then I got the same violation again last week. One week before the second violation I updated my listing, so I am guessing that there was a keyword that flagged my listing. However, Amazon hasn't specifically identified what the issue was in my listing that caused the violation, so I am not 100%. I am selling a pepper grinder and Amazon is saying that it is drug-related, even after supplying evidence showing that it is not.
I spoke to an Amazon KW Specialist hoping to identify the problem - Upon reviewing my listing, they didn't find anything that would cause concern or show the violation that Amazon is claiming, nor did they see any restricted keywords. They even submitted a report to the restricted products team to help the investigation, which is amazing, but sadly my appeal was denied.
My appeal has been denied 3 times now, and I still do not know what the problem is with my listing or what caused it to be flagged so I am unsure how to fix it. All of the case responses are generic so I do not think anyone has even read my appeal or reviewed the documents. Additionally, not one of my questions has been answered, and I have not been told what flagged my listing yet, nor what to upload for the appeal. I have addressed all cases related to this violation, and the warning before it was taken down, the same day as it came through, as I now check my account health every day to remain complaint and stay on top of things before it becomes an issue.
Luckily (or not), having gone through this once, I believe have an idea of what to submit and believe I submitted everything to support my case. However, I have had no luck thus far. By this point, my first 60-90 days are critically shot.
What a bummer. I've been studying and preparing to become an Amazon FBA seller for 5+ years now and was so happy that it finally came to fruition, but now that I am finally here, it's been a complete nightmare. I've invested my whole life savings into this business and done everything by the book, but now I'm at risk to lose it all (and for the second time).
Has anyone else gone through this? How did you go about resolving these issue? Can it be resolved a second time, or is it a one-and-done?
If any Amazon Case Manager can look at my case further and help me figure out the issue and how to resolve it, I would be so grateful. I need to elevate this but have had no luck, despite all the calls, cases, and communications.
Thank you in advance for all your support! <3

I haven’t face anything related with your case, but when you mentioned the grinder, I remember reading on the forums (at least 8 months ago) all the suspensions of asin with items related to listings offering grinders. I’d check those listings, just in case.
Hope the problem is fixed soon, and you and your business prosper.
Good luck.

the bot has been shutting down a lot of pepper grinders..as they "could" be used to grind something else.....you basically have to remove the key word grinder and call it a "this is not a pepper grinder" (just kidding, there seems to be no solution as the bot has more power than human beings)

Hey there ZENSIBLY_GREEN,
I am checking in on thread as it sounds like you have had a difficult time with this Restricted Product violation. I want to help you move forward and address this violation, however, will need additional details on your specific product you are trying to list.
I am selling a pepper grinder and Amazon is saying that it is drug-related, even after supplying evidence showing that it is not.
Found in our Restricted Product Policy for Drugs and drug paraphernalia is a specific point to consider for your product here:
"The term "drug paraphernalia" includes any equipment, product, or material of any kind which is primarily intended or designed for use in: manufacturing, compounding, converting, concealing, producing, processing, preparing, injecting, ingesting, inhaling, or otherwise introducing into the human body a controlled substance. "
So that we can have clear visibility into helping you dispute this violation, please share the photos and product packaging for your "pepper grinder" here on the forum. We look forward to your update and researching this further for you.
Best,
Sonny
