Amazon Abuse Team is utterly useless lately..
We are one of two companies that sell a particular niche product. Our product is sourced from a company that grows the product in Mexico. Our only competitor has added the phasing "NOT IMPORTED FROM MEXICO" to numerous product titles that directly compete with ours.
I was told by both seller support and amazon customer support that this is definitely not allowed and should be reported via the "Report Abuse" option in seller central. I've done this twice now and each time the reply I get back doesnt have anything to do with what I'm reporting.
The first response was stated they couldn't do anything because of the following:
EXCLUSIVE DISTRIBUTION Amazon respects a manufacturer's right to enter into exclusive distribution agreements for its products. As the enforcement of these agreements is a matter between the manufacturer and the retailers, it would not be appropriate for Amazon to assist in enforcement activities.
My complaint had nothing to do with distribution.
I had to report the abuse a second time becuase there's no way to reply or speak to the abuse team to team them they completely missed the point of my abuse case.
The second response from the abuse team was that they didn't know what abuse I was reporting even though I clearly stated it under the "Other" section and gave examples.
I'm at a loss...
Amazon has cut off communication between the sellers and VITAL offices within Amazon and it's costs me time, money, and a massive headaches trying to explain extremely simple issues and getting literally the DUMBEST responses you've ever read.
Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

But he has his own listing, isn't it? So don't care what he writes or if this is correct or not. If this product is only produced in Mexico - and the customers obviously know that - you can put in your listing something like "authentic product since carefully sourced from Mexico". For example it's negative if someone says that his Tequila is NOT imported from Mexico.
You will not achieve anything with the "abuse team". I reported a similar case regarding a competitor selling a different product (eg the title says "sugar" and the label says "pepper") from an ex-Russian country claiming it's coming from Greece.... Amazon didn't see any abuse, but the customers thinking buying a Greek product see it and award her with appropriate ratings.....
