Can't add my own products to my cart (to test it)

Hi

I've noticed really slow sales today (10% of my normal sales so far). So I went on the customer facing side to test out my listings, to make sure nothing is wrong. If I'm logged in to my seller account I can't add my own products to my cart (any of them). But if I log in with my personal shopping account I can.

Does anyone know, can you normally add your own products to your cart?

It seemed like a fault on Amazon, causing slow sales, but maybe its a policy of theirs that you can't buy your own stuff, meaning I can't test the site to make sure it's working for me?

Seller support can't see anything wrong with my account.

Not being able to add your own items to the shopping cart is one of the very few instances where Amazon prevents a seller from violating policy. Perhaps the only instance. Normally Amazon is just as happy to let your shoot yourself in the foot, and will even helpfully supply a link to a page with instructions for reloading.

I think AWS is having some issues today. I’ve noticed things have slowed down this morning.

Hello @Naturally_Med

Thank you for the information provided. I understand wanting to conduct a test buy for your inventory given the concern with your overall sales. However, it is not permitted to purchase your own inventory off of your account. This can be seen as attempting to inflate or manipulate sales and can cause additional disruptions to the account.

If you have any additional questions or concerns, continue to refer here for additional guidance.
